Newell S. Fisk 
Newell S. was born on October 15th, 1829 in Dickinson, New York or Iowa. Newell S.'s father was Hiram Fiske and his mother was Diantha Russell. His paternal grandparents were Ebenezer Fisk and Ida Landing; his maternal grandparents were Abraham Russell and Mercy Kenyon. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Freeman Kenyon, Abram, Kelley M., Hiram Franklin, Simon John, Lucy, Lavinia and Samantha. He was the oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Hiram and Edna. He died at the age of 61 on August 18th, 1891 in Wolf Creek, Trade River, Wisconsin. He was buried in Wolf Creek Cemetery,Trade River, NW of St. Croix Falls,Wisconsin.General Notes
The Wolf Creek Cemetery is in Wisconsin. The town of Wolf Creek is
gone. Take Hwy 87 north of St. Croix Falls eleven miles to County Road
#9 (well marked) then west about four miles (to the end of the road) and
the cemetery is on the right.
Mineral Point, Wisconsin lists a Newell W. Fisk who bought 80,000 acreas
of land on November 1, 1849.
