Fred W. was born on July 9th, 1871 in West Union, Iowa. Fred W.'s father was Newell S. Fisk and his mother was Elizabeth Rickel. His paternal grandparents were Hiram Fiske and Diantha Russell; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Rickel and Barbara Smith. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Warren Henry, Edward, Freeman Kenneth, William W., Hellen, Etta Mae and Effie. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 74 on October 1st, 1945 in Amador Township, Minnesota.General Notes
