Freeman Kenyon was born on January 19th, 1831 in Dickinson, Franklin, New York.  Freeman Kenyon's father was Hiram Fiske and his mother was Diantha Russell.  His paternal grandparents were Ebenezer Fisk and Ida Landing; his maternal grandparents were Abraham Russell and Mercy Kenyon. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Newell S., Abram, Kelley M., Hiram Franklin, Simon John, Lucy, Lavinia and Samantha.  He was the third oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Hiram and Edna.  He died in Laird, Colorado.  He was buried on April 14th, 1894 in Grand View Cemetery, Colorado.

‌Freeman Kenyon and Mary R. were married in a religious ceremony on June 6th, 1866 in Lawrence, New York.  They had nine sons and three daughters, named William King, Harry Vincent, Franklin, Freeman Kenyon Jr, Myron M., Wilbur, Arthur Chester, Walter, Clinton B., Cora, Kittie and Mary Belle.
