James Dyer 
James was born in 1744 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. James' father was Roger Sr. Dyer and his mother was Hannah Smith. His maternal grandfather was William Smith. He had a brother and three sisters, named William John, Hester, Hannah and Sarah. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 63 in 1807 in Augusta County (now Pendleton County, WV), Virginia. He was buried in Cyer Cemetery #20, Ft. Seybert, Pendleton County, West Virginia.-
