Phoebe was born in Pendleton County, Virginia. Phoebe's father was James Dyer and her mother was Phoebe Ann Harrison. Her paternal grandparents were Roger Sr. Dyer and Hannah Smith; her maternal grandparents were Zebulon Harrison and Margaret Cravens. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, Reuben, William B., John D., James Jr., Zebulon, Roger, Hannah, Hester and Elizabeth. She had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Matthew, Reuben, Peachy, Infant Son, Son, Parkham, Hester, Hannah, Elizabeth and Jane. She died after 1850.General Notes
