William Coates 
William was born on March 26th, 1765 in Kingwood, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. William's father was Thomas Coates and his mother is Elizabeth King. He had two sisters named Amy and Abigail. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 74 in 1839 in Solebury Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
‌William and Mary were married in a religious ceremony before March 3rd, 1799. They had four sons and two daughters, named William, Moses, John, Paxson, Eliza and Seneca.
