William Clayton 
William was born in 1782 in Illinois. William's father was Thomas Jr Clayton and his mother was Mary Walker. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Sr. Clayton and UNKNOWN Hannah. He was an only child. He died at the age of 65 in 1847 in Peoria County, Illinois.
‌William and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony about 1816 in Perry County, Ohio. They had three sons and two daughters, named Isaac, Ashford, Jesse C., Margaret and Lettie Ann.
