William II "Rufus" was born in 1056.  William II "Rufus"'s father was William King Of England and his mother was Matilda Countess Of Flanders Queen Of England.  His paternal grandparents were Robert I "the Magnificent" Duke of Normandy and Herleva De Falaise; his maternal grandparents were Baudouin V Count of Flanders and Adaele Alix Princess of France. He had two brothers and seven sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Richard, Henry I "Beauclerc", Cecilia, Alice Adbelahide |de Normandy, Matilda, Constance, Adaele Alice, Gundred, Agatha and Robert II.  He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named William.  He died at the age of 44 on August 1st, 1100.
