John Gatten 
John was born in 1834 in Ohio. John's father was William Jr. Gatten and his mother is Elizabeth Hendrickson. His paternal grandparents were William Benjamin Gatten and Sarah Murphy. He has three brothers and two sisters, named Isaac, Nathan, Russell, Nancy and Daniel. He is the third youngest of the six children.-
