Mitchell Collins 
Mitchell was born on February 23rd, 1859 in NC. Mitchell's father is Commodore Hayes Collins and his mother was Matilda Andrews. His paternal grandparents are Mahlon Collins and Effie Hays; his maternal grandfather was James Andrews and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Crouse. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Martin Kenny, Mahlon Leander, William Hayes, James D., John M., Sarah Louisa, Effie L. and Mary Ellen. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 21 on April 30th, 1880 in Alleghany Co., NC.-
