J. Sowell Choate 
J. Sowell was born in 1841. J. Sowell's father was Richard Choate and his mother was Sarah Edwards. His maternal grandparents were William Edwards and Nancy Carter. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John C., William Thomas, Joshua Sabret, Nancy Cornelia, Mary Jane and Charity Lucinda. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 22 on July 2nd, 1863 in Gettysburg, PA.-
