Eleanor was born on January 17th, 1264 in Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England.  Eleanor's father was Edward I "Longshanks" Plantagenet and her mother was Eleanor Of CASTILE AND LbEON.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Plantagenet and Elbeonore (Lbeonor) Berenger; her maternal grandparents were Fernando III "The Saint" King Of CASTILE AND LbEON and Jeanne De DAMMARTIN. She had four brothers and ten sisters, named John, Henry, Alphonso, Edward II, Joan, Juliana Katherine, Joan "of Acre", Margaret, Berengaria, Mary, Alice, Elizabeth, Beatrice and Blanche.  She was the oldest of the fifteen children. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas 'Of Brotherton', Edmund 'Of Kent', John De and Eleanor.  She died at the age of 34 in 1298 in Gent, F-Occd, Belgium.  She was buried in Westminster Abbey, Westminster, Middlesex, England.
