Thomas POLK 
Thomas was born on December 5th, 1770 in Prob., Tyron, North Carolina. Thomas' father was Ezekiel Franklin POLK and his mother was Mary Winslow WILSON. His paternal grandparents were William POLK and Margaret TAYLOR; his maternal grandparents were Samuel WILSON and Mary WINSLOW. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, John, William Wilson, Matilda Golden, Clarissa, Mary and Louisa. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 43 on March 8th, 1814 in , Robertson, Tennessee.General Notes
