Mary Etta Herring

Mary Etta was born on April 27th, 1857 in , Washington, IL.  Mary Etta's father is Daniel Washington Herring and her mother was Helen Ellender Sevier.  Her paternal grandparents are Peyton Herring and Mary 'Polly' Evans; her maternal grandparents were John Sevier and Anna Friend. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Jesse L, George Washington, John Wesley, Alexander, William Jasper, Egell Elvin, Martha Ann, Frances Marion, Elisabeth Jane and Amelia Nora.  She is the third youngest of the eleven children.
