Jesse L Herring

Jesse L was born on September 24th, 1838 in , Washington, IL.  Jesse L's father is Daniel Washington Herring and his mother was Helen Ellender Sevier.  His paternal grandparents are Peyton Herring and Mary 'Polly' Evans; his maternal grandparents were John Sevier and Anna Friend. He had five brothers and five sisters, named George Washington, John Wesley, Alexander, William Jasper, Egell Elvin, Martha Ann, Frances Marion, Elisabeth Jane, Mary Etta and Amelia Nora.  He is the oldest of the eleven children.
