Elisabeth Jane Herring

Elisabeth Jane was born in 1848 in , Washington, IL.  Elisabeth Jane's father is Daniel Washington Herring and her mother was Helen Ellender Sevier.  Her paternal grandparents are Peyton Herring and Mary 'Polly' Evans; her maternal grandparents were John Sevier and Anna Friend. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Jesse L, George Washington, John Wesley, Alexander, William Jasper, Egell Elvin, Martha Ann, Frances Marion, Mary Etta and Amelia Nora.  She is the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
