John Marshall Krum 
John Marshall was born on March 10th, 1810 in Hillsdale, Columbia Co., New York.1 John Marshall's father was Peter Krum and his mother was Sarah Trowbridge. His paternal grandfather was Peter Krum; his maternal grandparents were Abel Trowbridge and Anne Mosier. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Hendrik, Abel, Hiram F., Jane M., Anna Eliza, Fanny, Sarah and Catherine. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 73 on September 15th, 1883 in St. Louis, Missouri.1 General Notes
According to Walker Dix, in his "Ancestors of Zoe Townsend & Walker Dix", another webpage on Rootsweb/Ancestry World Connect Project, John Marshall Krum was the first mayor of Alton, Illinois, in 1837, and was elected the second mayor of St. Lopuis, Missouri, in 1848.
