John William Clark Sloan 
John William Clark was born on November 5th, 1871 in Marengo,Crawford County,Indiana. John William Clark's father was John Eads Sloan and his mother was Celeste Ann Weathers. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Neal Sloan and Mary Eads; his maternal grandparents were Vincent Weathers and Elitha Eleander May. He had four brothers and a sister, named Perry V., Lyman Edward, Benjamin Lee, Treat Foresta and Nevada. He was the third oldest of the six children. He had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named Ridgely, Clayton, Delancy, Cecil, Wayne Walter and Lulu. He died at the age of 73 on March 3rd, 1945. He was buried in Marengo Cemetery,Marengo,Crawford County,Indiana.-
