John Sloan 
John was born in 1740 in Rowan County,North Carolina. John's father was Archibald Sloan and his mother was Margaret--------- UNKNOWN. His paternal grandfather was Archibald Sloan. He had three brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Patrick, Archibald, Samuel, Isabelle, Jean, Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary and Healnor. He died at the age of 40 on July 8th, 1780 in or 1779,Killed in war,Lincoln Co. NC.
John and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on December 23rd, 1765 in Rowan County,North Carolina. They had three sons and three daughters, named Archibald, Jeremiah, John, Anna, Margaret and Mary.

Archibald Sloan
Archibald was born on October 14th, 1766 in Iredell County,North Carolina. He died at the age of 69 on October 12th, 1836 in English,Crawford County,Indiana. He was buried in Sloan Cemetery near English,Indiana.
Anna Sloan
Anna was born on July 9th, 1780 in Rowan County,North Carolina. She died at the age of 66 on August 12th, 1846 in Marengo,Crawford County,Indiana. She was buried in Old Marengo Cemetery.
