John Lemuel Sligh 
John Lemuel was born on January 4th, 1855.1 John Lemuel's father was Emmanuel S. Sligh and his mother was Sarah D. "Sallie" Glymph. His maternal grandparents were Lemuel Glymph and Sarah Kinard. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Charles William, Thomas Edward, Henry Middleton, James Pickney, Gustavus Beauregard, Robert Lee, Elma, Sara "Sallie" Elma, Nora Ella, Ada C. and Minnie F.. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 44 on April 26th, 1899.1 -
