Laura was born in 1871. Laura's father was Miles Sandage and her mother was Meriam Landers. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Sandage and Rachel Terry. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas T., George W., Emma E. and Murial Maude. She was the second oldest of the five children.-
