John Terry

John was born about 1760 in Botetourt Co.,VA.¹   John's father was William Terry and his mother was Rachel Manson. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Jasper, Miles, Susannah, Marcy, Rachel and Jemima.  He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Mary.  He died on December 7th, 1842 in Anderson Twp.,Perry,IN.  He was buried in Terry Cemetery,Perry County,Indiana.¹ 

‌John and Esther were married in a religious ceremony on February 2nd, 1781 in Botetourt Co.,VA.¹   They had twelve sons and a daughter, named Josiah, William, George F., Haden, John, Elijah, Elisha, J. Elias, Miles, Thomas, Daniel, Jasper and Esther (Easter).
