Silas M. Prewit 
Silas M. was born in June 1820 in Whitley Co.,KY. Silas M.'s father was *Elijah Prewit and his mother was *Susannah Katherine DeMoss. His paternal grandparents were *David II Prewit and *Jane Parrott; his maternal grandparents were *Andrew DeMoss and *Elizabeth. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named *Joel P. , Rev., William, Elijah Jr., Elizabeth, Jane, Sarah (Sallie), Anna, Kezie, Mary (Polly) and Susannah. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 81 on December 30th, 1901 in KY.-
