Jane was born on February 4th, 1808 in Knox Co.,KY. Jane's father was *Elijah Prewit and her mother was *Susannah Katherine DeMoss. Her paternal grandparents were *David II Prewit and *Jane Parrott; her maternal grandparents were *Andrew DeMoss and *Elizabeth. She had four brothers and six sisters, named *Joel P. , Rev., William, Silas M., Elijah Jr., Elizabeth, Sarah (Sallie), Anna, Kezie, Mary (Polly) and Susannah. She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 78 on April 10th, 1886 in Whitley Co.,KY.-
