Mary (Polly) was born on December 22nd, 1823 in Whitley Co.,KY. Mary (Polly)'s father was *Elijah Prewit and her mother was *Susannah Katherine DeMoss. Her paternal grandparents were *David II Prewit and *Jane Parrott; her maternal grandparents were *Andrew DeMoss and *Elizabeth. She had four brothers and six sisters, named *Joel P. , Rev., William, Silas M., Elijah Jr., Elizabeth, Jane, Sarah (Sallie), Anna, Kezie and Susannah. She was the second youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 56 on November 14th, 1880 in Whitley Co.,KY.-
