Elijah was born about 1758 in Henrico,VA. Elijah's father was *David I Prewitt. His paternal grandparents were *Richard (Sr) Prewitt and *Frances Murrel. He had six brothers named Richard, William, John, *David II, Charles (Sr.) and Samuel. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died after 1813 in Madison,KY.-
