George Starr Northrop 
George Starr was born in November 1854.1 George Starr's father was Micajah Starr Northrop and his mother was Julie Dickinson. His paternal grandparents were Burton Northrup and Fanny Brooks. He had a brother and a sister, named James Henry and Emma B.. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 53 on September 25th, 1908 in Fairport,New York. He was buried in Greenvale Cemetery,Fairport,New York.1 1 General Notes

There is a copy of some genealogical information in my possession given to me by David Merle Northrop, a descendant and relation. From that document is found the following about George Starr Northrop.
"The 1900 census gave the following:
George S. Northrop head M Nov 1866 age 33 (46)
Carrie L. wife F Dec 1876 age 23
Jamin D. son M Sept 1897 age 2
This census also indicated that Carrie was the mother of two children , one living and that they had been married 5 years and all were born in New York. The age of George on the 1900 census does not agree with the 1860 Census. In the 1860 census George was 6 years of age which says George's birth is 1854 not 1866."
"George S. Northrop owned race horses. He also owned two boats (`Jesse' and `Jordan') which he purchased from Deyo Worden. In the 1900 census he was listed as a pilot on the canal where he hauled freight from Syracuse to Rochester and return. Later on in life he was a lamp lighter for the village of Fairport; he lived on Perrin Street in a rented house. He is buried in an unmarked grave in the Crego Family lot in the Greenvale Cemetery on Church Street, Fairport, N.Y. His sister, Emma B., married George Crego...."
