Cally was born on May 10th, 1831 in Hancock County,Indiana. Cally's father was James McQueary and his mother was Lillian Scott. His paternal grandparents were John McQueary and Nancy Shepherd; his maternal grandparents were Harvey Scott and Kessiah E. Clark. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John Harvey, William Elsbury, George Washington, Haywood Martin, Marmaduke, Kiziah, Lurany Caroline, Nancy Jane and Phoebe. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Perry, Betsy V., Polly and Sally. He died at the age of 67 on May 26th, 1898 in Mercer County,Missouri.-
