Nancy was born on November 17th, 1765 in Spotsylvania County,Virginia. Nancy's father was John James Shepherd Sr. and her mother was Sarah J.-------. Her paternal grandparents were George Shepherd and Elizabeth Mary Angelique Day. She had five brothers and five sisters, named John, James, Stephen, Lewis, Andrew, Ann (Susannah), Susannah, Lucy, Sarah and Philadelphia "Delphia". She had two half-brothers named Nicholas and David. She died after 1812 in prob Hancock County,Indiana.-
