Isophene was born on August 30th, 1841 in Warrick County,Indiana. Isophene's father was David Gentry and her mother was Sarah (Sally)D McNeeley. Her paternal grandparents were Shelton Gentry and Sarah (Sally) Staton; her maternal grandparents were William Barnett McNeely and Elizabeth McNeely. She had a brother and three sisters, named George A., Elizabeth Jane, Mary A. and Nancy. She was the second oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Jesse Franklin, Martha A., Hannah C. and Susan C.. She died at the age of 76 on March 12th, 1918 in Spurgeon,Indiana Pike County. She was buried in Log Creek Cemetary,Pike County,Indiana.-
