James Douthitt 
James was born on December 25th, 1749 in Monocacy,Frederick Co. Maryland. James' father was John Douthitt and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Scott. His paternal grandfather was Robert Douthitt. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John, William (Billy), Thomas, Isaac, Abraham, Jacob, Elizabeth, Sarah, Rebecca and Mary. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.
