Mary Elizabeth Scott 
Mary Elizabeth was born in 1721 in Frederick County,Maryland. She died at the age of 73 on June 22nd, 1794 in Rowan County,North Carolina.General Notes
For the first time in his life he was so excited he was like a happy child.
He Said "I rely only on Him and His Atonement". Wife, Mary Scott, was
instructed by her parents in the foundation principles of the English Church.
After moving to MD she married John Douthit in her 18th year. She became a
member of the Brethern with her husband. According to author Joseph W.
Douthitt, the family were 1st cousins to Charles Edward Louis Phillip Stuart
of Scotland, the Royal family; religious differences caused flight to America.
‌Mary Elizabeth and John were married in a religious ceremony on December 1st, 1740 in Maryland. They had seven sons and four daughters, named John, William (Billy), James, Thomas, Isaac, Abraham, Jacob, Elizabeth, Sarah, Rebecca and Mary.

Thomas Douthitt
Thomas was born on April 2nd, 1753 in Hope,Rowan County,North Carolina. He died at the age of 65 on March 31st, 1819 in Near Clemmons,North Carolina. He was buried in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church near Clemmons,NC.
Isaac Douthitt
Isaac was born on August 10th, 1756 in Hope,Rowan County,North Carolina. He died at the age of 66 on May 4th, 1823 in Hope,Rown County,North Carolina. He was buried in Hopw Moravian Cemetery,Forsyth Country,NC.
Abraham Douthitt
Abraham was born on September 3rd, 1762 in Hope,Rowan County,North Carolina. He died before August 30th, 1828 in Davidson County,North Carolina.
