William Dewees 
William was born in 1818. William's father was Samuel Dewees and his mother was Mary (Polly) Dugan. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Dewees and Catherine Spencer; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Dugan and Rebecca Fowler. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Alonzo, James Lewis, Samuel, Margaret and Lucinda Orilla. He was the third oldest of the six children.General Notes

Benj. A. 20 (this is underlined by reader as being questionable. I have from other records the name to be Perry.), Alford 19, Arris 13, Wm. H. 7, George W. 5, and Ida 3.
Catherine is head of family. Now is she a 2nd wife of William whom I have an Effa listed as his wife with the first 3 children? With the break between Arris and Wm H. Effa could have died and a 2nd marriage taken place. I have not looked into the 1850's marriage records for a 2nd marriage. And do not know when William died.
