Samuel Dewees 
Samuel was born on January 14th, 1772 in Kent County. Samuel's father was Joshua Dewees and his mother was Elizabeth Bowman. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Dewees and Mary Coburn; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Bowman and Sarah Clark. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Lewis and Anna. He was the youngest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William, James, Jethro, Joshua, Elizabeth and Mary. He died at the age of 47 on March 25th, 1819 in Miami County,Ohio.-
