His paternal grandparents were Robert CLAYTON and Elianor ATHERTON; his maternal grandparents were George LEIGH and Elizabeth HINDLEY. He had four brothers and ten sisters, named Mr, CLAYTON, William, William, Anne, Jemima, Anne, Margaret, Juliana, Margaret, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth and Eleanor. He died on May 30th, 1708.General Notes
