Margaret was born in St Nicholas Liverpool,Lncs,Eng. Margaret's father was William CLAYTON and her mother was Elizabeth LEIGH. Her paternal grandparents were Robert CLAYTON and Elianor ATHERTON; her maternal grandparents were George LEIGH and Elizabeth HINDLEY. She had five brothers and nine sisters, named Mr, CLAYTON, William, Robert, William, Anne, Jemima, Anne, Margaret, Juliana, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth and Eleanor.
