Marcellus was born on December 18th, 1828 in Shelby,IN. Marcellus' father was John Worland and his mother was Catherine Gough. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Worland and Verlinda Hardy; his maternal grandparents were John B. GOUGH and Mary UNKNOWN. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas Ignatius, Robert, John Oscar, Joseph Ferneding, Arnold Elder, Susan Mary and Anna America. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 67 on August 27th, 1896 in Shelby,IN.General Notes
