His paternal grandparents were Thomas Worland and Verlinda Hardy. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named John William, Barnaby, George Tilson, Stephen Theodore, Thomas Walter, James Maurice, Stephen Maurice, Sarah Ann, Rachel Rebecca, Mary Eleanor and Julia Catherine. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 70 on September 23rd, 1907 in Indianapolis,Marion,IN.-
