Elijah Swesey 
Elijah was born in 1789 in ,Rutherford,NC.1 Elijah's father was George Sweezey and his mother was Rachel McDowell. His paternal grandparents were Mathias Sweezey and UNKNOWN Sarah. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Dolly and Peggy. He was the oldest of the four children. He had a half-sister named Hannah. He died at the age of 54 on March 24th, 1843.1 -
