His paternal grandparents were William Godfrey Morris and Nancy Young; his maternal grandparents were Daniel KECK and Priscilla CHEW. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Daniel T., Willis G., Clark, Marion Francis, Allen M., Greenlee, Mary Annie, Ellen, Annie, Elda and Dora. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 81 on October 17th, 1942 in ,Warren,IA. He was buried in Linn Grove.-
