Elijah HANKINS

Elijah was born in 1831.  Elijah's father was Joseph HANKINS and his mother was Catherine ROGERS.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Hankins and Nancy Cain; his maternal grandparents were Elijah Rogers and Wilmouth Griffin. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Absolem, Joshua Tipton, William, Keziah, Julia, Lucinda, Elizabeth and Wilmoth.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 32 on November 25th, 1863 in TN.

‌Elijah and Emaline were married in a religious ceremony on February 26th, 1854 in Jefferson,IN.  They had a son and three daughters, named Joseph, Mary Jane, Nancy Catherine and Julia.
