Joseph HANKINS 
Joseph was born in July 1855. Joseph's father was Elijah HANKINS and his mother was Emaline BRAMBERGER. His paternal grandparents were Joseph HANKINS and Catherine ROGERS. He had three sisters named Mary Jane, Nancy Catherine and Julia. He was the oldest of the four children.
‌Joseph and Charity were married in a religious ceremony on October 15th, 1874 in Jefferson,IN. They had two sons and three daughters, named Elijah, Elmer, Anna, Louisa and May.
