William HANKINS

William was born about 1847.  William's father was Joseph HANKINS and his mother was Catherine ROGERS.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Hankins and Nancy Cain; his maternal grandparents were Elijah Rogers and Wilmouth Griffin. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Absolem, Elijah, Joshua Tipton, Keziah, Julia, Lucinda, Elizabeth and Wilmoth.  He was the second youngest of the nine children.
