Absolem HANKINS

Absolem was born on January 6th, 1826 in Jefferson,IN.  Absolem's father was Joseph HANKINS and his mother was Catherine ROGERS.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Hankins and Nancy Cain; his maternal grandparents were Elijah Rogers and Wilmouth Griffin. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Elijah, Joshua Tipton, William, Keziah, Julia, Lucinda, Elizabeth and Wilmoth.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 65 on January 8th, 1891 in Decatur,IN.

‌Absolem and Mary A. were married in a religious ceremony on July 17th, 1853 in Henry,IN.
