Matthew Gwin 
Matthew was born about 1799. Matthew's father was James Gwin and his mother was Rachel Stephenson. His paternal grandparents were David Gwin and Jane Carlisle. He had four brothers and five sisters, named James, David, Samuel, John, Eliza, Rachel, Ann, Lucinda and Jane. He was the oldest of the ten children.-
