Cartmill Crockett 
Cartmill was born in 1813. Cartmill's father was John Drake Crockett and his mother was Jane Cartmill. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Crockett and Mary Drake. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Alexander, Eli, James, Robert, Elijah, Carlisle, John Jackson, Nancy Mary, Julia Ann and Margaret. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.
Cartmill and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on October 5th, 1839 in ,Sangamon,IL. They had two sons and four daughters, named John C., Alfred H., Mary Jane, Eliza Ann, Katharine and Julia Ann.
