His paternal grandparents were John Melton Coltrin and Minerva Reeves; his maternal grandparents were James M. Toner and Susan Young. He had three brothers and a sister, named James Arthur, George H., Walter Theodore and Mellie Toner. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 77 on April 13th, 1964 in San Bernardino,CA.-
