Silas H Ames 
Silas H was born on March 10th, 1846 in Ohio.1 Silas H's father was Dorsey Pentecost Ames and his mother was Susan Pierce. His paternal grandparents were Jabez Ames and Elizabeth Smith. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, John, Absalom D, Esther, Dalilah and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 71 on November 6th, 1917 in Muscatine Co,Iowa. He was buried in Watkins Cemetery,Muscatine Co,Iowa.1 1 General Notes
