Absalom D Ames 
Absalom D was born on January 23rd, 1840 in Ohio.1 Absalom D's father was Dorsey Pentecost Ames and his mother was Susan Pierce. His paternal grandparents were Jabez Ames and Elizabeth Smith. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, John, Silas H, Esther, Dalilah and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 40 on February 2nd, 1880 in Muscatine Co,Iowa. He was buried in Watkins Cemetery,Muscatine Co,Iowa.1 1 General Notes
