Joseph Ames

Joseph was born about 1831 in Ohio. Joseph's father was Dorsey Pentecost Ames and his mother was Susan Pierce. His paternal grandparents were Jabez Ames and Elizabeth Smith. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Absalom D, Silas H, Esther, Dalilah and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the seven children.
